Changes in the SEPS Board of Directors and Top Management

Personnel changes have been made in the joint-stock company Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a.s. (SEPS) in the Board of Directors as well as in the top management.

The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic, Eduard Heger, introduced to the public the newly-elected members of the SEPS Board of Directors with effect as of 13 February 2021. These members are: Ing. Peter Dovhun, Marián Širanec, MBA, Ing. Miroslav Janega, Mgr. Martin Riegel and Ing. Jaroslav Vach, MBA, Ing. Peter Dovhun was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Marián Širanec, MBA as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In the meeting held on 16 February 2021, the Board of Directors appointed Ing. Peter Dovhun as the Chief Executive Officer of Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a.s., Ing. Miroslav Janega as the Managing Director of the Division of Operations and Ing. Jaroslav Vach, MBA as the Managing Director of the Division of Economics. The Managing Director of the Division of Development, Investments and Procurement, Mgr. Martin Riegel, remains in his function.

With effect from 16 February 2021, Peter Dovhun was assigned to the management of the Division of ICT, Ing. Miroslav Janega was assigned to the management of the Division of SED and Commerce and Trade, Ing. Jaroslav Vach, MBA was assigned to the management of the Division of Management Support and Mgr. Martin Riegel was assigned to the management of the Division of Strategy and International Cooperation.

Dovhun, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer said. “Together with the shareholders and experts from the Value for Money Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, we primarily focus on setting the management and everyday functioning of the company in new conditions.”

 

Slovenská elektrizačná prenosová sústava, a. s., is the transmission system operator and performs electricity transmission through its 400 kV and 220 kV lines in Slovakia. SEPS guarantees safe and reliable operation of the transmission system, power balance between production and consumption in real time, it provides cross-border electricity transmission, and is responsible for precise measurement of the transmitted electricity. SEPS operates total of 2,138 km of 400 kV voltage level lines, 772 km of 220 kV lines and 22 substations. Slovak Republic represented by the Ministry of Finance of Slovak Republic is the sole shareholder of SEPS. SEPS is a member of the international group of the European Network of the Transmission System Operators for Electricity ENTSO-E, it actively supports market integration and cross-border cooperation with the neighbouring transmission systems. From 16 February 2021, the company Chief Executive Officer is Ing. Peter Dovhun.
