The allocation of cross-border transmission capacities takes place on a yearly and monthly basis on profiles SK-PL, SK-CZ and SK-HU through the auction office Joint Allocation Office S.A. (JAO) based in Luxembourg. Cross-border capacities are allocated in the form of explicit auctions.
JAO performs the function of SAP (Single Allocation Platform) operator based on a cooperation agreement in the form of a single allocation platform (Single Allocation Platform Cooperation Agreement) between JAO and participating European transmission system operators.
