Environmental system management (EMS)
The Slovenska elektrizacna prenosova sustava, a.s. has decided to introduce, maintain, and improve the EMS in line with the international standards ISO 14 000. To achieve the goal, Slovenska elektrizacna prenosova sustava, a.s. applies particularly the following tools:
- environmental policy
- environmental aspects
- legal and other requirements
- long-term and short-term environmental goals
- environmental management programmes
- water and waste management
Main environmental activities:
- ecological assurance of equipment with oil fillings
- construction of oily rain water treatment stations
- replacement of equipment transformers with oil fillings
- cleaning, filtration, and regeneration of isolation oils
- waste amount minimisation
- birdlife protection along electrical lines
- ecological paints of electric line towers
