The investments in the Stupava location within the Danube InGrid project are directly related to the construction of the new Vajnory substation. In order to connect the new Vajnory substation to the transmission grid, modifications to the existing Stupava substation were necessary – it was extended by the construction of a new bay. At the same time, the Stupava substation was modernised – T401 power transformer was replaced to increase the transformation capacity and thereby contribute to maintaining the quality and stability of electricity supply in the nodal area of the Bratislava Region. The modernisation also includes the installation of new shunt reactors to enable reactive power compensation. This will increase the ability to regulate voltage in the transmission system.
