Allocation of daily transmission rights
Since 18th of June 2021
Successful go-live of Interim Coupling project
On 17 June 2021, the day-ahead capacities were allocated via implicit auction for the first time on the PL-DE, PL-CZ, PL-SK, CZ-DE, CZ-AT and HU-AT borders, for the delivery day 18 June 2021.
The successful coupling of the 4MMC and MRC regions via the abovementioned borders represents an important step towards the completion of single EU day-ahead electricity market.
In case the procedure of Interim Coupling can not be evaluated for any reason, cross-border capacities on the SK/PL profile will be allocated by the means of fallback solution, i.e. Shadow auction provided by JAO starting from June 17th, 2021 according to the following rules:

Daily transmission rights are allocated through JAO.
Daily transmission rights are allocated in the form of physical transmission rights.

Intraday allocation of transmission rights
Intraday cross-border capacity rights are allocated using the first comes – first served principle. Transmission capacity allocator function is fulfilled by ČEPS.

Allocation of long-term transmission rights
In accordance with the Decision No. 0007/2017/E-EU, by which the Regulatory Office for Network Industries approved the All TSO´s proposal for the establishment of a Single Allocation Platform (SAP) in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1719, the task of SAP operator is entrusted to JAO Joint Allocation Office S.A.
In accordance with the Decision No. 0006/2017/E-EU, by which the Regulatory Office for Network Industries approved the Core CCR TSOs’ proposal for the regional design of long-term transmission rights in accordance with Article 31 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1719 and Decision No. 0008/2018/E-EU, by which the Regulatory Office for Network Industries approved Core CCR TSOs’ proposal for amendment of the current regional design of long-term transmission rights based on Article 4(12) of Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1719 , long-term rights are allocated on SK/PL profile.
Long-term transmission rights are allocated through JAO, which is entrusted with the task of SAP operator.
Long-term transmission rights are allocated in the form of physical transmission rights pursuant to the Use-It-Or-Sell-It principle.
