Clearing and Settlement Agreement of Cross-Border Trade with Electricity April-May 2007 (hereinafter to as “the Agreement”) was signed among Transmission System Operators. Since 1 April 2007 the Agreement implements binding compensation mechanism for cross-border trade among TSOs in conformity with the Direction No. 1228/2003/EC. Contracting parties of this multilateral agreement have agreed that a system for cross-border trade is according to ETSO vision intent on sequential development and improvement of a proper practice given for national TSOs in a cross-border trade area.

Cross-border transmission of electricity is free of charge among the contracting parties of the Agreement for the period from 1 April 2007 to 31 May 2007.

ČEPS, a.s. did not sign the Agreement and became a perimeter country in line with this Agreement from 1 April 2007 to 31 May 2007. According to valid fees for perimeter countries, i. e. the countries which are not a component part of TSOs` compensation mechanism (mentioned in ETSO methodology) there is imposed “injection fee” in the amount of 1 EUR/MWh. It means that from 1 April 2007 to 31 May 2007 there is emposed a fee

The transmission fee from Ukraine (perimeter country) is still valid.

We appologize for the change of settlement`s conditions of cross-border trade with electricity to our business partners and this retroactive effect arising from a multilateral agreement of TSOs associated in ETSO.
